Hi! For "Sew You Love to Sew's" inaugural post, I thought it would be appropriate to introduce you to our store, the e-commerce site, Sew You, LLC based in Griffith, IN. Sew You launched in 2001 and re-launched in 2019 and is under the @KittySpeaks KittySpeaks. We're the new kid on the block so this is our self introduction. 😄
Here at Sew You, you might know that we sell face masks, but sleep masks are offered as well. All of our products are hand-made, sourced from 100% cotton for your comfort, UV sanitized and packaged hands-free (non-latex gloves) before being shipped FREE anywhere in the continental US. Additionally, we offer sewing instruction, and a small selection of accessories but there are other products in the works as well. Please support us!

Here at Sew You, we make products that allow you to cover your face, Not your personality! We wanted them to be comfortable enough for all day wear, washable & reusable but they also needed to be décor for your face. You can include applique on your projects - in fact you can choose machine embroidery, patches or hot-fix crystals. For the applique why limit yourself to words, choose a design instead - we have an ever-expanding rainbow of hot-fix crystals and a vast array of embroidery thread. Japanese Hiragana and Katakana are available at no surcharge!
Once you've chosen the embroidery upgrade, there's no cost for variegated thread embellishment but metallic thread cost just $1.50 more. Speaking of upgrades, why limit yourself to one mask when you can go for the reversible upgrade and enjoy two masks in one! This option is available for sleep masks as well but the facing* option is limited to cloth face masks. The base price of our "standard" - no embellishments - mask is $12 for adult sizes (regular, small and large) and $10 for child sized; all embellishments are added to these base figures. Embroidery - $3, Variegated - free, Metallic - $1.50, Reversible - $5, Facing - free, Hot-fix Crystals - $8.
Reversible (reversible masks as defined by Sew You, do not include those with solid fabrics on the reverse. They are defined by products with a distinctly different print on the reverse than what is on the face of the design. A custom mask designed by a customer may have a solid fabric by design if the customer chooses.)
We also have a small line of accessories available chosen with our customers comfort in mind but we are constantly combing the market for products to offer that will help "the new normal" disrupt the daily flow of our lives as seamlessly as is possible.
With that in mind, we currently offer a selection of mask extenders and inner support brackets for your mask. There will be a group of products coming to our shelves soon that we sincerely hope will be well received. You may select your fabric choice and head to our online store. As you can see from the pictures, all of the fabrics are grouped by color. The groups are in columns of four pictures wide. I will name the group colors from top to bottom. Once I reach the bottom of one column, I will go back to the top and start with the next color group and so on. When there are blank spots, it indicates that that particular group doesn't have any other fabrics in their category. Now, I'll explain the fabric identification process at Sew You; it's pretty simply. Each fabric has a 3 character identifier made of of what color group they're in (for now just use the category name. Aqua is fine for the Aqua/Teal category. The second "character is the column they are in 1-4 and finally the last character is the row that they are in within their group and those are identified alphabetically A,B,C,D and so on. So for example if you want a purple fabric in the 2nd column and it's the last one over it would be identified (*temporarily until our website is back up) Purple2D.

*A facing is when a small strip (generally less than 2" wide) of a 3rd fabric or the fabric from the reverse side of the project is used on the edge of the front of a project - on the project's "face".
